How to Copy Large Prints

If you have large prints of photographs whose negatives you've misplaced, it might seem impossible to make more copies. Or, if you want to make prints of a digital image but you have no color printer at home, you might never get around to making prints at all. Fortunately, standard copy centers provide a variety of equipment that will allow you to make multiple copies of these prints for friends and family.

Instructions

Select the appropriate paper size for your copies.

Select the appropriate weight and surface for the paper. Ask a customer service assistant to help you load heavier paper or glossy photo paper into the copier for better prints.

Adjust the saturation or darkness settings on the copier if the images come out too dark or too light.

Scan your print if you do not have a corresponding original negative or digital file. You will want to set the image resolution to at least 300 dpi for a large print.

Email the digital file you want to print (if you have one) to your own e-mail address so you can access it at a copy center.

Open the scanned file or the file from your email, and print it on the copy center's color copier.

Use heavy card-stock or glossy photo-paper for better results. Ask a customer service assistant to help you load it into the printer if it is not already there.

How to Photograph Reflections in Black and White Photography

Reflections are secondary images of objects or of light sources. The moon reflects the light of the sun. Reflected images offer a level of artistic comment not afforded by the image itself. In a real sense, all photographs are reflected images in that a photograph is more a record of light on a subject than a mere subject. As light alters, subjects leave different impressions. Highlights, distorted and undistorted reflections, and superimposed reflections give the photographer opportunities for different creative comments in black-and-white photographs.

Instructions

Capture highlights in portraits. Each eye should by accentuated be one--no more than two--highlights. Highlights should appear near the center of the eye, but must not obscure the pupil.

Express the sun's brilliance graphically with a halo that surrounds the subject. This type of sun reflection is not a fault. Rather, it symbolizes the radiance of direct light. For example, without reflections, water looks like a meadow in a photograph. Produce a halo effect with a diffuser in front of the lens.

Use undistorted reflections with restraint. Reflections on flat surfaces, such as mirror images or people reflected in puddles, can be the least graphically interesting images.

Photograph distorted reflections. Reflections in curved surfaces, by exaggeration, can convey strong impressions. A reflection in a car fender can express an initial impression of fantastic city madness and confusion. Use a fantastic approach. Confusion is distortion. How to Share Videos

Adobe Premiere Elements has convenient options that allow the user to send the video to devices, phones and web applications. The wizards are easy to use even for a novice user and make it possible to share videos in a variety of ways without leaving the application. You can create complete DVDS, export movies to phones and other devices and export movies for YouTube or to your own website via FTP. Follow the easy steps in this article to share your videos with friends, family and the world.

The share menu has a number of general options. We will look at each one separately except for TAPE. You need to have a DV TAPE recorder connected to the computer to use this option. Notice that you can share to a disk, computer, Internet or phone/player. You can burn to disk using Adobe's DVD templates to create a menu or chapter-driven DVD.

Let's look at disk options first. This is what you should use if you want to burn a disk to give to someone else. You can burn to a DVD or BLU-RAY disk. You can create a disk title and select quality options. Presets are based on options loaded with Adobe Premiere. You can change the options by choosing the ADVANCED menu.

If you want to create a video to watch on a computer or to share with another computer user, you should select the COMPUTER option. There are a variety of choices to make. You can create FLASH videos to use on a website. You can also create MPEG files and AVI files. These formats are useful for creating clips that you may want to use with other projects or to send to other people to use in their project development. Each choice gives you a variety of options to choose from as far as video and sound rendering.

The advanced menu allows you to modify sound, video and multiplexer options for your videos. You can export to HD formats, phone formats, Ipod formats, PAL, NTSC and many others. You can also adjust audio and multiplexer formats to achieve the highest quality video output possible. Notice that each option will dramatically change the file size. Generally, the largest file will give you the best output rendering, but it may not be able to play on computers depending on the CODECS and video cards that are installed. For eHow, MPEG 3 movies with Dolby Digital sound seem to work the best.

You can share movies directly on YouTube or publish them to your own website. To upload the video directly to YouTube, just click the NEXT button after selecting YouTube.

If you do not have a YouTube account you can create a free account here or sign in to your YouTube account to upload your movie.

If you have your own website you can choose "My Website" and fill in your server and port information. You must also specify the directory, file name and enter in your username and password. This will allow you to FTP your file directly from Adobe Premier to your website. This saves a lot of time and doesn't require any specialized software to send these large files directly to your site.

Finally, you can share your video directly to a cell phone, Creative Zen or an iPod. Scroll down to find the correct mobile format, which will load the proper preset. You can then export your movie to your computer, which will be in the correct format for your output device.
