3Center your photograph on the backside of the matte. Apply a small piece of acid-free tape so you can check the positioning of the photograph. If the photo is centered in the frame add one or two more pieces of acid-free tape to keep the photograph from slipping. Although it is unlikely that it will slip you can never be too careful.
4Place the matted photograph in its frame. Be sure to remove any spacers inside the frame. Spacers normally come in the form of cardboard.
