Choosing a Photographer
Any old photographer just will not do. Boudoir photography is a specialized art form that requires different lighting, editing and people skills than standard portrait work demands from a photographer. Choose someone who specializes in boudoir photography and whose work you love. Make sure you have a great rapport with each other.
Makeup

Look for matching bra-and-panty sets, snug tank tops, boy shorts, thigh-high stockings, flirty nighties, athletic jerseys of your fiance's favorite team or even one of his dress shirts worn with bikini bottoms.
Don't forget the shoes. Bring at least one pair of high heels with you, preferably black.
Location
Some photographers have special sets in their studios for boudoir photography. Other photographers shoot on location only. If this is the case, you could shoot in your home or the home of a friend. Many women choose to rent a room in an upscale hotel for the shoot. Wherever you choose, make sure the room is uncluttered and simple, and the bedding or upholstery is neutral.
