Have you ever seen those pictures where everything Is black and white except for one part like a hat,dress,or headband? They look so pretty and are great for your myspace profile or facebook and I am going to tell you how to create it.

There are two ways to do this either online, I prefer picnik.com, or by downloading GIMP, GNU Image Manipulation Program. You can download gimp at www.gimp.org.
2Using picnik you just upload a picture and to the right of your photo you will see different options for editing your photo, what you want is the focal black and white, click it and click on the part of your picture that you want black and white. I think it comes out a lot nicer with GIMP because you pick the parts that you want color but it is a little harder to use.

Once you download GIMP, open the program, then go to file and click open and find your photo that you want to edit and open it. Next go to the layer tab and click duplicate layer. To your right you will see a layers box, in the box click on the eye on the first photo, next go to the colors tab and choose colorify from the bottom of the list and click on the color white, this will make your photo black and white. Next, go to the layers tab across the top and click on transparency, then click add alpha channel.
