    Enter the set-up menu. Press the "Menu" button. The "Menu" button is located on the back of the camera to the right of the display. Use the "Up" or "Down" button until the "Set-up" selection is highlighted. Press the "OK" button to enter the "Set-up" menu.

    Select the "Format" option. Using the "Up" or "Down" button, highlight the "Format" menu option, and then press the "OK" button.

    Format the selected memory. In the "Format" menu you can choose to format the internal memory or the memory card that is currently in the camera. If you format the internal memory you will also lose stored user information along with the stored images. Select which memory you would like to format and press the "OK" button to format the selected memory.
